While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personal information may include your email, your name and optionally your homepage or profile image. This data is used for communication purposes and as part of our sharing functionality (to show the names and profile images of the collaborators). Please note that all data except your email is optional.

We also monitor how you are using our system. For instance, we store when you login, or when you create a prototype. This data is used to ensure the highest security and detect possible threats, e.g. if someone is trying to hack an account. The data might also be used to further improve the quality and User Experience of our service. Please be assured that we do not share this data with any third party.

When an error occurs, the system will securely store information regarding the error. This information might contain your user ID. We will use this data only to improve the product and, where necessary, to contact you regarding the error, for instance to help resolve it or to inform you of its impact.

Data Sharing

We will not share your data with any third party with the following exceptions:

  1. OpenAI: If you choose to use our optional AI-powered design features and select OpenAI as the provider, the prompts and design data you submit are shared with OpenAI (openai.com). You can find OpenAI's privacy policy here.
  2. Anthropic: If you choose to use our optional AI-powered design features and select Anthropic as the provider, the prompts and design data you submit are shared with Anthropic (anthropic.com). You can find Anthropic's privacy policy here.
  3. Google: If you choose to use our optional AI-powered design features and select Google as the provider, the prompts and design data you submit are shared with Google (google.com). You can find Google's privacy policy here.
  4. OpenRouter: If you choose to use our optional AI-powered design features and select OpenRouter as the provider (or use our OpenRouter-based evaluation access), the prompts and design data you submit are shared with OpenRouter (openrouter.com), which may route them to other third-party model hosts. You can find OpenRouter's privacy policy here.
  5. Proton: We use Proton (proton.me) as our email provider to send and receive emails related to our Service, e.g. account and support communications. Proton can see your email address and the content of emails sent to and from us. You can find Proton's privacy policy here.
  6. Contabo: Our servers are hosted with Contabo (contabo.com) in data centers located in the European Union. Contabo provides the underlying infrastructure only; access to our servers is restricted and secured, and Contabo does not have access to the content stored on them. You can find Contabo's privacy policy here.
  7. Google Fonts:We use Google Fonts to for custom fonts. When you use these fonts, data will be downloaded from Googles servers. This means certain information how you use our website is anonymously shared with Google, e.g. your IP address. Google does not obtain any personal information from us. You can find more information here.

App Data

The data of your prototypes is stored on our servers as well. This data does not contain personal information, unless you add this kind of information to your design, e.g. by using a photo of yourself. This app data is stored securely on our servers and can only be accessed by authorized users, which includes the share links. We, therefore, advise you to be careful which kind of content you use in your prototypes. Quant-UX does not hold responsibility for this kind of third-party content.

The interaction data of your testers is stored on our servers in anonymized form. No IP addresses or other personal information is stored by default. If you configure your prototype to collect personal information from testers, for instance through a text input field, that personal information may be included in the stored interaction data. Access to this data is restricted to your account and the members of your team, and Quant-UX will not use this data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. You remain responsible, as the data controller, for any personal information you choose to collect through your prototypes, and we advise you to inform your testers accordingly and to avoid collecting personal information unless necessary.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer's hard drive. We use "cookies" to enable authentification and to debug the software. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Quant-UX offers optional features that use Artificial Intelligence ("AI Features") to help you design prototypes. If you choose to use an AI Feature, the data you submit through it, including your prompts and your current design data, is transmitted to and processed by third-party providers that host the underlying Large Language Models. As of the date of this policy, these providers may include OpenAI (openai.com), Anthropic (anthropic.com), Google (google.com) and OpenRouter (openrouter.com).

These providers process this data on their own infrastructure, under their own privacy policies and terms, and may be located, or process data, outside your country of residence, including outside the United States and the European Union. Quant-UX does not control how these providers process, retain, or otherwise use the data you submit, and does not review the content of your prompts or designs before it is shared with them.

Please do not include personal data or other personally identifiable information (PII) (such as names, email addresses, photos, or other information relating to an identifiable individual) in the prompts or design data you submit to an AI Feature, unless you have a proper legal basis to do so and have satisfied yourself that the relevant AI provider offers an adequate level of protection for that data. You should also avoid submitting confidential, sensitive, or special category data through AI Features. You are solely responsible for the content you submit to AI Features.

For further information on how AI Features handle API keys, costs, and liability, please see the AI section of our Terms of Service.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. All traffic over the internet is encrypted using state of the art technology (SSL/TLS), and access to our servers is restricted and secured. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Other Services

Quant-UX allows prototypes to send or load data from external servers. This happens when you run a usability test with Quant-UX and the prototype is configured to do so. Quant-UX does not control how such third-party services process this data, and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, accepts no liability for their processing of it. We advise you to review the privacy practices of any external service you connect to your prototypes.

International Data Transfers

Quant-UX's own infrastructure and databases are located in the European Union (see the Contabo entry above), and we do not ourselves transfer your account data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

If you choose to use the optional AI Features with your own API key, your prompts and design data are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you select, and that provider may process this data outside the EEA, including in the United States. This transfer is initiated by you, under your own agreement with that provider, and is not carried out by Quant-UX. If you use any limited AI evaluation access we may provide via OpenRouter, requests are routed through OpenRouter's infrastructure and may be forwarded to model hosts outside the EEA; this is the only case in which Quant-UX itself facilitates a transfer of your prompt or design data outside the EEA, and we seek to choose providers that commit to appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, for this purpose. You can request further information about these safeguards by contacting us using the details below.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and prototype data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account or a prototype, we will delete or anonymize the corresponding data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for longer to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data in a portable format. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 3rd September 2026 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
